Statistical Methods for High Dimensional Data
Dr. Shyamal Peddada
Entry ID: PD-3973
The Biostatistics Branch at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIH), RTP, North Carolina, has a Postdoctoral Fellow position available beginning in summer or fall of 2007. The Fellow will conduct research in statistical methods for high dimensional data under the direction of Shyamal Peddada. This research will not be tied to a specific project, but will be motivated by general applications in biological sciences and epidemiology. A particular focus will be on the development of innovative and computationally efficient methods for design and analysis of data from experiments involving high dimensional parameter space.
Candidates with strong analytical skills and background in various computational methods are particularly encouraged to apply. Strong programming skills and a keen interest in applications are a requirement. A Ph.D. or equivalent degree in statistics, biostatistics, bioinformatics, or a related area is required. Women and members of minority groups are especially encouraged to apply.
To apply, send by regular mail or e-mail a CV, a statement of research plans, and the names of three references to:
