Post Doctoral Fellow
General Summary:
A Post Doctoral position is available to work with Dr. Peter Neumann in the Center for the Evaluation of Value and Risk in Health (CEVR) at the Institute for Clinical Research and Health Policy Studies. CEVR is focused on issues pertaining to value, cost-effectiveness, and risk in health care decisions. The work encompasses formal cost-effectiveness analysis and related techniques, as well as policy research and analysis pertaining to resource allocation. The successful candidate will have recently completed, or be projected to complete, graduate studies in a Ph.D. program with a strong research record in health policy, health economics, decision science and/or related field. The fellow will participate in analyses of published/collected data, writing of manuscripts for publication, and preparation of grant proposals. Experience in statistical programming, data management or modeling is highly desirable. Excellent technical, analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills, and an ability to work independently is necessary. This is a one year funded position, with option to renew for a second year upon mutual agreement.
Principal Duties and Essential Functions:
The fellow will participate in analyses of published/collected data, writing of manuscripts for publication, and preparation of grant proposals.
Job Requirements:
The successful candidate will have recently completed, or be projected to complete, graduate studies in a Ph.D. program with a strong research record in health policy, health economics, decision science and/or related field.
Job Knowledge and Skills:
Experience in statistical programming, data management or modeling is highly desirable. Excellent technical, analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills, and an ability to work independently is necessary.
Education:
Ph.D. in health policy, health economics, decision science and/or related field.
Experience:
An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed above may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements.
