Position Description: You will assist in injury control programs with a mentor or series of mentors in the Directorate of Epidemiology and Disease Surveillance (DEDS) at the US Army Center for Health Promotion and Preventive Medicine (USACHPPM). Typical experiences include determining and tracking injury and illness case rates, trends, and major causes of injury morbidity and mortality in U.S. military forces both in the continental United States and during deployments overseas. You may assist in the coordination, planning, and execution of injury control investigations, disaster response planning, field studies, field surveys, and program evaluations relating to injury epidemiology. You will participate in various phases of data collection, analysis, presentation and reporting. Presentations at least once per year will be expected and publication is possible. Travel within the United States and possibly outside the United States will be required.

Qualifications: Recent graduate of biology, pre-med, public health, or related programs at the master’s degree level. Master of Public Health preferred.
