POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP IN STATISTICAL BIOSURVEILLANCE

The RODS Laboratory invites applications for a postdoctoral fellowship in statistical biosurveillance. We are conducting cutting edge research in the analysis of biosurveillance data and meteorological data to detect a bioterrorist attack as early as possible. This research uses Bayesian statistics and has at its disposal large datasets of over-the-counter sales data, hospitalizations, emergency department visits, viral testing, and meteorological observations for research.

The RODS Laboratory is a dynamic, growing research group that is a leader in biosurveillance research. It has pioneered numerous methods and techniques that are now standard in the field.

Candidates should have a publication record in their chosen field of study and a foundational knowledge of Bayesian statistics and methods. A background in meteorology is a plus.
