Postdoctoral Fellowship Cancer Prevention and Control

Description
The Case Comprehensive Cancer Center at Case Western Reserve University, invites applications to its 2-3 year NCI-funded postdoctoral training program. This program is designed to prepare fellows for careers as independent investigators engaged in research on behavioral aspects of cancer prevention, detection, and control, including cancer care communication and decision making, cancer survivor quality of life, health services research, and cancer preventive service delivery in primary care and community settings, including smoking cessation interventions and outcomes. An additional strong focus area is psychosocial and health services research on aging and cancer. The program combines a specialized curriculum of formal didactic training and individualized longitudinal curriculum with a mentored cancer behavioral research project designed by the fellow in collaboration with their mentors.
Stipends and research supply funds are highly competitive. Review of applications will begin January 31, 2008 for positions starting August 1, 2008.

1) US citizenship or permanent residency. 2) Terminal degree (PhD, DNP, DPH or MD) in a social or behavioral science, public health, nursing, or medicine and have demonstrated skills in research methods and biostatistics
