Description:
I am looking for a postdoc who is interested in design and analysis of epidemiologic studies and who is comfortable with allowing applications to motivate methodologic research. I play a key role on a number of exciting substantive projects. These include several genome-wide association studies, cohort and case-control studies that address questions related to prevention and etiology of disease and to clinical practice, and a randomized trial. Each project raises methodologic questions that are challenging and important beyond the specific application. Solving these problems in a way that will improve the science can be fun, worthwhile, and professionally rewarding.

In addition to strong quantitative skills, this position requires either knowledge of methods for epidemiologic or genetic association studies or solid statistical training.

This position is subject to a background investigation.

About the Employer:
The National Cancer Institute coordinates the National Cancer Program, which conducts and supports research, training, health information dissemination, and other programs with respect to the cause, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of cancer, rehabilitation from cancer, and the continuing care of cancer patients and the families of cancer patients.
