Position Description: The Arnold School of Public Health has one (1) opening in the Public Health Practice Post Doctoral Program. The position is a two year fellowship beginning May 2008. The Post Doctoral Associate will provide expertise in public health program evaluation and epidemiology; provide leadership in planning and implementing evaluation plans for bureau and community partnership initiatives, focusing on obesity, nutrition, and physical activity; contribute to the development and delivery of competency-based curricula and mentors students as well as facilitating joint research projects between the Arnold School of Public Health and DHEC.

Qualifications: Qualified candidates will possess a doctoral degree in public health, health promotion/education, or epidemiology with at least one year of experience gathering, editing, analyzing, and reporting public health data and in developing educational programs and translating findings. Ability to evaluate public health or social programs including community- based projects.
