We seek a post-doctoral Research Associate to join an interdisciplinary CRUK funded project to develop data mining methods for cancer research. Among the aims is the development of novel statistical methods for integration and interpretation of diverse high throughput genomic datasets, including expression, arrayCGH, microRNA and SNP data. The post will be based in the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Research Institute (CRI), home to 16 research groups and associated core facilities that embrace a multidisciplinary approach to cancer research (see www.cambridgecancer.org.uk/).

The successful applicant will have a PhD or equivalent in biological sciences, with a strong quantitative focus. Experience in computational statistics and strong programming skills in languages such as R, Matlab or C++ is required. Familiarity with statistical analysis of microarray data, database management and cluster computing are strongly desirable.
