NICHD Institutional Post-doctoral Training Program in
Reproductive, Perinatal and Pediatric Epidemiology
2008
We are seeking qualified and highly motivated US citizens or permanent residents who would like to obtain post-doctoral research experience and training in reproductive, perinatal, and pediatric epidemiology (RPPE) in the Department of Epidemiology at the University of Washington. This position is supported by a T32 training grant from the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD). The purpose of this training program at the University of Washington is to provide skills in epidemiology and biostatistics that will enable fellows to develop careers in RPPE. Specifically, we plan to provide fellows with training in multidisciplinary theories, epidemiologic methods as well as the practical skills to design and conduct high quality research in reproductive, perinatal, and pediatric epidemiology.
Applicants with a background in biomedical and behavioral sciences, including, epidemiology, biostatistics, environmental health sciences, nutritional biochemistry, child psychology, social work, molecular biology, or a related discipline are encouraged to apply. The post-doctoral fellowship is offered for one year with opportunity for renewal the second year, contingent upon performance. Annual stipend for post-doctoral fellows is based on the NIH scale depending on years since award of doctoral or medical degree. In addition, health insurance is provided.
