Required/Preferred Qualifications Specific requirements for the position are: 1) Master's degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, statistics, or related field; 2) at least 1 year of professional experience in statistical data analysis and data management; 3) understanding of epidemiologic research designs; 4) experience in use of statistical software packages, including in-depth experience using SAS; and 5) experience in biomedical or epidemiologic research in human subjects. Preference will be given to candidates with a Master's degree in Epidemiology, Statistics or Biostatistics, and those with experience in one or more of the following: pediatrics, reproductive/gynecologic epidemiology, longitudinal data analysis, cardiovascular disease epidemiology, and genetic epidemiology. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Duties/Responsibilities The position involves active collaboration with multidisciplinary teams including faculty, graduate students, and research staff. Primary responsibilities for the position include: 1) statistical analysis of data files using SAS, especially using longitudinal data analytic techniques, including statistical consulting and analytic support for multiple project faculty and staff; 2) construction, maintenance, and documentation of databases/data entry forms in Access; 3) contribution to writing scientific publications and grant proposals.
Program/Unit Description The Division of Epidemiology and Community Health, School of Public Health, University of Minnesota, seeks a 100%-time Research Fellow for existing studies and new initiatives in pediatric obesity, reproductive epidemiology, and cardiovascular disease epidemiology. This is an annually renewable, academic professional position.
