Job Description:
The Post Doc Fellow will work on NIA-funded longitudinal study of cognitive changes with aging in a stimulating multi-disciplinary academic environment. The project investigates diet and nutrient risk factors for cognitive decline and dementia in a large population-based biracial community.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Perform longitudinal data analysis using statistical programs
2. Use SAS programs for analysis of nutrient-outcome associations
3. Write manuscripts for publication in scientific journals
4. Actively assist in grant application preparation and writing
5. Oversee the day to day organization of the different components of the project
6. Work closely with biostatistician, epidemiologist, nutritionist, statistical programmer, and data manager to ensure high quality analysis and manuscripts for scientific publication
Qualifications:
1. PhD or MD
2. Analysis background with experience on longitudinal dementia studies
3. Proficiency using computers
4. Excellent written and oral communication skills
