Appointment at Senior Lecturer grade (£32,795 - £41,544 pa) may be awarded if approved by the faculty board.

The Lecturer will be appointed from 1 July 2007 or as soon as possible thereafter. You will be responsible for teaching undergraduates in the areas of veterinary public health and farm animal medicine (with a preference for ruminant medicine), and will contribute to the training of clinical training scholars. You will assist with the provision of farm animal clinical work within the Queen's Veterinary Hospital and in the ambulatory farm animal clinical service; this assistance will be limited but will include out-of-hours emergency work, occasional cover for holidays and back up for routine clinical duties. You will be expected to develop a research programme in an appropriate area of interest: the Department provides an active research environment, with proactive support systems for research.

You should have a veterinary degree registerable with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons; experience in the area of veterinary public health; and experience of clinical veterinary work with farm animals. A PhD in a related area and a proven track record in research are desirable.
