General Summary
Full time contractual project coordinator position for Tuberculosis Epidemiologic Studies Consortium (TBESC). The TBESC was established by the CDC in 2001 as a multi-site, multi-state endeavor in order to build the scientific research capacities of state and metropolitan TB control programs. The studies conducted through the consortium involve the identification, diagnosis, prevention, and control of active TB disease and latent TB infection.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- oversee the project activities for a study examining factors that contribute to adherence of and completion of latent tuberculosis treatment.
- characterize record systems for target clinics, create plan to survey patients and obtain administer initial questionnaires to 200 patients, interim questionnaires to 65 patients, and final questionnaires for 130 patients IRB approval and other arrangements for the study.
- Conduct field work as needed, per study protocol
- Enter, manage and analyze data
- Write quarterly progress reports
- Participate in weekly conference calls with CDC Principle Investigators.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
- master's degree with training in public health, epidemiology, clinical research, or related field
- Knowledge of TB
- Interpersonal skills to effectively interact with study subjects and other research staff
- Ability to use IBM-compatible PCs. Experience with data management programs strongly desirable. Familiarity with basic biostatistics desirable.
- Ability to function independently with a high degree of motivation essential.
Supervision: Reports to Study Coordinator for the TB Epidemiologic Studies Consortium
Salary: Commensurate with experience
