Position Description: The purpose of this position is to provide epidemiologic support and scientific evidence for programmatic decision-making for the Hepatitis C program. This position is accountable for maintaining an epidemiological profile of hepatitis C cases; writing reports; maintaining multiple databases; providing surveillance data to target intervention; and designing and carrying out evaluations.
Qualifications: Prefer two year’s experience as an Epidemiology Specialist I or equivalent OR Master’s degree in epidemiology or biostatistics OR Master’s degree with significant epidemiology component OR Master’s degree in related field with at least 2 years experience in public health epidemiology. The ideal candidate will have experience in using epidemiologic methods to monitor clinical microbiologic results and laboratory data systems, to capture morbidity and detect outbreaks of infectious diseases, bioterrorism events, and other public health emergencies.
