Job Description:

The Director is responsible for the leadership, management, and implementation of research activities in support of strategic policy development, planning, and decision-making across campus. Responsibilities include collecting, analyzing and reporting institutional data, completing compliance and consortial studies, responding to all external data requests (IPEDS, HEDS, etc.), supporting learning outcomes assessment, and working with constituencies across campus to assist their planning and decision-making through providing appropriate data and analyses. This position reports directly to the President.

Required qualifications: an advanced degree with training and experience in research methods and statistical analysis; minimum of three years experience in institutional research or a similar area; high level of proficiency with statistical analysis software; excellent writing and communication skills; an ability to work well with a wide range of offices and colleagues. A familiarity with Datatel Colleague and an understanding of the culture of a residential liberal arts college are preferred but not required.
