EXPERIENCE: Required - Ph.D. in Epidemiology, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, or related fields. Strong analytical skills and 5+ years experience with quantitative models. Proficiency with Matlab, SPSS, Stata, SQL, and/or Java.. Skilled in the design, analysis, and interpretation of scientific studies. Experience with large and complex datasets. Track record of quality products in a timely manner. Ability to work independently as well as effectively communicate and collaborate in a team environment. Demonstrated ability to communicate through publications and formal presentations. Desired - MD or DVM. Strong background in public health, epidemiology, disease and animal surveillance, and information systems. Should be self motivated and team player. U.S. citizen capable of obtaining a security clearance.

JOB_DESCRIPTION: Job Description - Seeking a senior health analyst with strong analytical skills to serve as a lead analyst to support disease surveillance and bioinformatics programs. Position will require extensive focus and effort with data collection, data mining, data management and statistical analysis of animal and human health indictor data from Federal, State, and Local agencies. Duties - Perform data collection, mining, and statistical analysis. Identify appropriate methods used for processing and analyzing biosurveillance data. Identify programming requirements to support statistical analysis and provide technical guidance to associate epidemiologist and IT staff. Support program and project managers by interfacing with sponsors, writing white papers and proposals, and managing resources. Prepare written and verbal reports, manuscripts and presentations.
