Pittsburgh, PA: Research Specialist and Research Assistant, University of Pittsburgh, School of Medicine & Graduate School of Public Health

Dr. Rebecca Thurston's laboratory at University of Pittsburgh, School of Medicine & Graduate School of Public Health related to a study about menopausal hot flashes.

The first is a full time Research Specialist position. The Research Specialist would be responsible for all aspects of running the research project, from recruiting participants, interfacing with participants (midlife women with hot flashes), equipping women with physiological monitors (including conducting home visits), coding physiologic data, and entering and cleaning data. The Research Specialist will oversee all operations and report directly to Dr. Thurston, the PI. Hands on experience with research and at least a 3 year (ideally 5 year) commitment required.

The second is a part time Research Assistant III position (approx 10-15 hours per week). The Research Assistant will assist the Research Specialist in performing study duties, with a focus on equipping participants with monitors during home visits, as well as coding physiologic data and data entry. Hands on experience with research preferred and at least a 1 year commitment required.

Both positions are hiring immediately. They require having reliable access to a car, and travel expenses are reimbursed. Both positions may involve limited hours on weekends or evenings. These are not GSR/GSA positions; they are regular part/full time positions at UPMC.
