KINESIOLOGY DEPARTMENT, Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo, CA is accepting applications for a full-time, academic year, tenure track, assistant professor of health education/health promotion, beginning September 8, 2008.

Requirements
Required: Doctorate in health education, health promotion, community health, public health or a closely related field. Preferred: University teaching experience with the ability to teach undergraduate/graduate courses in three or more of the following content areas: health education methods, health behavior, school/community health, epidemiology, research methods, drug education, multicultural health, obesity and diabetes prevention, fitness & wellness education. Supervise undergraduate and graduate student research. Develop and maintain scholarly activities with external funding and occasional external validation. Experience with community based translational research in obesity and diabetes prevention is preferred. Certified Health Education Specialist or CHES eligible.
