Position Description: Reporting to the Program Director, this is professional medical work supervising the activities of the EDCP Center for Clinical Epidemiology in its missions to control or eliminate communicable diseases and outbreaks, and to provide consultation and training to EDCP and Local Health Department staff on the management of unusual or complex manifestations of communicable diseases. Qualifications: Requires a MD or DO degree, Board Certification and two years of medical practice in the field of public health, preferably at a supervisory or administrative level. Five years of medical practice will substitute for Board Certification.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in the field of Public Health, Board certification in Preventive Medicine or Public Health; and, experience in communicable disease control and/or prevention.
