Head of Division of Health Policy & Management Associate Professor/Professor in Health Policy Management

SUNY Downstate Medical Center is the only academic medical center in Brooklyn, New York. The Department of Preventive Medicine and Community Health houses a CEPH accredited MPH Program. The program is in the process of rapid expansion, implementing more MPH tracks and developing DrPH programs. The Division of Health Policy & Management is a major thrust of this upcoming program development.

Job Description Associate Professor/Professor (HS) in Epidemiology/Biostatistics in the Master of Public Health Program in the Department of Preventive Medicine and Community Health. Tenure Track position.

Brief Description of Duties: o Serve as Head of the Division of Health Policy & Management in a rapidly growing Master of Public Health Program at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, Brooklyn, New York. o Develop Division of Health Policy & Management by refining curricula for MPH track. o Recruit additional faculty with HPM expertise. o Provide leadership in Health Policy & Management teaching, research and service. o Participate in MPH Program governance committees and/or events.

Requirements
Job Qualifications: 1. MD, PhD or equivalent degree in Health Policy Management or related medical or public health sciences discipline required. 2. Expertise in the field Health Policy & Management or closely related discipline preferred, with a minimum of 5 years experience in the field of Health Policy & Management or closely related field preferred. 3. Evidence of independent and collaborative research involvement and significant administrative responsibilities preferred. 4. Evidence of peer reviewed publications commensurate with rank preferred. 5. Graduate level teaching experience preferred. 6. Grant writing experience preferred.
