An epidemiologist is required to join a multi-disciplinary team conducting world-leading research into the molecular and genetic causes of heart attacks.
Candidates should possess a relevant first or postgraduate degree in epidemiology, medical statistics or a closely-related discipline. The main focus is on evaluating and analysing genetic and molecular risk factors in large-scale studies. The appointment will be up to two years initially with the possibility of an extension depending upon funding on the Research Assistant/Research Associate grade, salary scale £21,682 to £24,403 or £25,134 to £32,796 per annum according to qualifications and experience. There may be opportunities for successful applicants to study towards a PhD during the post.
