TENURE-TRACK FACULTY POSITION IN CANCER EPIDEMIOLOGY
The Department of Environmental and Radiological Health Sciences at Colorado State University invites applications for a 9-month tenure-track faculty position in cancer epidemiology at the Assistant Professor level. This position is located within a unique multi-disciplinary research and teaching environment and a University that has a history of excellence and strong support in the area of cancer research. This position will be an integral part of the newly formed Cancer SuperCluster (http://www.superclusters.colostate.edu), an alliance of academic researchers, economists, and business experts that encompasses 65 faculty members from 12 departments across the University, with the goal of addressing global challenges and encouraging collaborative research. Additionally, the Department is a key participant in the Colorado School of Public Health Initiative (http://coloradosph.org), a collaborative effort that will begin offering a Master of Public Health degree program in Fall 2008. Applicants must have a PhD, ScD, or equivalent degree in Epidemiology or a closely related field; applicants with a MD or DVM are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be able to demonstrate interest and experience in collaborative cancer epidemiology research (in humans and/or animals). Previous teaching experience is preferred. Candidates whose research focus includes environmental or occupational exposures, genetics, biomarkers, or cancer prevention are particularly encouraged to apply. The candidate will be expected to contribute to teaching in the undergraduate and graduate programs, to mentor graduate students, and to develop an externally funded research program.
