Faculty Positions in Cancer/Molecular Epidemiology/Population Genetics
The Penn State Cancer Institute (PSCI) together with the Departments of Pharmacology and Public Health Sciences of the Penn State University College of Medicine (PSUCOM) in Hershey, PA, seeks to hire outstanding scientists with extensive experience in epidemiology, genetic/molecular epidemiology and/or population genetics for Tenured/Tenure-track Faculty positions at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor. Candidates should have demonstrable expertise and original research in the design, conduct and analysis of etiologic studies of cancer in human populations. Requirements for each position include a doctoral degree in epidemiology, genetics or a related field. Preference will be given to individuals with previous or current external funding and a record of multidisciplinary, translational research in collaboration with clinical or laboratory-based scientists
Candidates will join the Division of Population Sciences and Cancer Prevention in the PSCI, where they will be expected to collaborate closely with clinical, basic, and population scientists. The Division of Population Science and Cancer Prevention is comprised of over 35 faculty with expertise in epidemiology, statistics, health services research, cancer survivorship and communication research, cancer prevention research, and genetics. Candidates will also have appointments in either the PSUCOM Department of Pharmacology, or Department of Public Health Sciences, a multidisciplinary department consisting of biostatistics, epidemiology, and health services research. Outstanding opportunities exist for joint appointments, for collaboration with the University Park (main) campus of Penn State University, and for involvement in doctoral training programs.
