The Department of Biostatistics, Bioinformatics and Epidemiology (DBBE) at the Medical University of South Carolina invites applications for a tenure-track/tenured faculty position at the associate or full professor level in the area of biostatistics. Successful candidates will have a doctoral degree in biostatistics/statistics or related field; a strong research record; a desire and ability for collaborative research in the biomedical sciences; and evidence of and commitment to teaching excellence. Preference will be given to applicants with an established record of funded research.

DBBE has more than 30 PhD faculty members, with 15 PhD biostatisticians and 10 MS statisticians, and was ranked 5th in NIH funding among similar departments nationwide. The graduate program, which is supported by three NIH training grants, offers PhD and MS degrees with concentrations in biostatistics, bioinformatics and epidemiology, as well as MS in Clinical Research.
