Marshfield Clinic Research Foundation (MCRF) is seeking a doctoral-level Epidemiologist for its Epidemiology Research Center. MCRF is the research division of Marshfield Clinic, a large multi-specialty group practice with over 750 physicians and 43 regional centers in central and northern Wisconsin. MCRF Epidemiologists are involved in both clinical and population-based research. MCRF receives federal funding for epidemiologic research on influenza, vaccine effectiveness, vaccine safety, cardiovascular disease treatment and outcomes, and cancer epidemiology. The Marshfield Epidemiologic Study Area (MESA), electronic medical record, data warehouse and immunization registry are valuable resources that facilitate research in these areas.
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated candidate to establish an independent research program in one of the following areas: vaccine safety/effectiveness, influenza epidemiology, cancer epidemiology or cardiovascular disease treatment/outcomes. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with MCRF investigators in one or more of these areas, with the goal of securing additional research support as principal investigator.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
• Ph.D. in Epidemiology, or M.D. with M.P.H or similar advanced training in Epidemiology;
• Post-doctoral experience in epidemiology research, including first-author publications;
• Grant writing experience;
• Ability and motivation to develop an independent research program and secure external research funding;
• Leadership ability and excellent communication skills
