Description
The Division of Research on Children, Youth and Families, Department of Pediatrics, Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California and Childrens Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) is recruiting for a faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level that offers opportunity for community-based behavioral, social and public health research with children and families. CHLA is acknowledged nationally and internationally as an academic leader in pediatric care, training and research. The Division currently conducts, facilitates, and coordinates research designed to: 1) prevent childhood and lifelong health problems; 2) promote healthy development; 3) reduce disparities in children's health that may be associated with socioeconomic status, health coverage and insurance, access to care, and race/ethnicity and immigration status; 4) restore function and prevent disability among children with special needs; and 5) ensure the delivery of quality care through health outcomes research. This is accomplished by conducting research that is interdisciplinary, collaborative, applied, and closely linked to policy and practice. The Division of Research on Children, Youth and Families is now home to over 50 scientists, of whom 6 are full-time faculty. Faculty members hold academic appointments on the research track through the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California.
