Job Description:

The New Jersey Dental School is currently accepting applications for the position of Chairman of the Department Community Health. The successful applicant will have administrative responsibilities for the following areas of community service, teaching and patient care:

Epidemiology
Community Health and Outreach
Behavioral Sciences
Oral Health and Disease Prevention
Dental Public Health
Professionalism and Ethics
Cultural Competency

Additional responsibilities will include didactic and clinical teaching responsibilities in predoctoral, postgraduate, graduate and fellowship programs as well as research, patient care (if appropriate) and service activities.

The ideal candidate should have an established record in education, patient care and research and have demonstrated ability in providing outstanding administrative leadership.

Candidates must possess a DDS or DMD degree from an ADA accredited Dental School be eligible for licensure in the State of New Jersey or have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in a relevant area such as public health, or epidemiology. Academic Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience. The University has excellent health and retirement benefits.
