Clinical Outcomes Research Director

The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at UCSF is seeking a Research Director (In-Residence Faculty series) to conduct his/her own research and to create and lead a pre-eminent comprehensive clinical outcomes and health policy research program in collaboration with the department Chair and other senior faculty. Collaboration across research disciplines is expected to foster translation from research to clinical and community practice. The individual is expected to have joint appointments in the Philip R. Lee Institute for Health Policy Studies and the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics.

All appointments in this series include teaching medical students and residents, developing extramural-funding, and supervising graduate students.

Applicants should have a doctoral level degree; training and extensive experience in clinical outcomes research or closely allied fields; demonstrated involvement in quality of care research through peer-reviewed publications; demonstrated effectiveness in teaching and advising. Full time appointment Assistant or Associate; salary negotiable.
