Position Description: Center for Talented Youth (CTY) seeks outstanding science teachers, professors, graduate students, and professionals to work in our summer programs.
Course: Epidemiology, Re-emerging Infectious Diseases, and Pandemics This course investigates the science and politics of disease. From examining the role that epidemiologists play in unlocking the points of origin of pandemics to dissecting the behavior of policymakers as they address AIDS or the avian flu, students gain insight into the cause and spread of global diseases.
What: CTY offers challenging 3-week academic programs for highly talented elementary, middle, and high school students from across the US and around the world.
Where: Residential site in Princeton, NJ.
When: Session 1: June 26 - July 19, 2008
Why: Teach what you love, work with exceptional students in small classes, learn from talented colleagues, enjoy a generous lab budget, and work with a teaching assistant.
Salary: $2100 - $3000 per 3-week session, based on experience. Plus room and board at our residential sites.
Classes: 12 - 18 students
Qualifications:
Organization Description: For over 25 years, JHU's CTY has been offering intensive course work to academically talented pre-collegiate students. Students who attend are between 8 and 16 years old, and take rigorous courses in mathematics, science, computer science, humanities, and writing.
