The Cancer Institute and the Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Disease Prevention Institute are jointly seeking a leader to develop a research program in Cancer Epidemiology. The position will be at the Associate/Full Professor level as part of a major expansion of the epidemiology research program at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and as a vital component in the development of a Comprehensive Cancer Center. This program will link relevant bench science research with clinical and epidemiologic applications to address etiology, screening, and prognosis of cancer. An extensive network of collaborators in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Basic Sciences, and Clinical Medicine is established at Mount Sinai, providing a promising and supportive environment for developing such a program. In this role, you will develop independent research programs, including recruitment of additional faculty and external funding, that complement the broad range of existing activities currently in place at Mount Sinai. Must have strong training in Epidemiology, a record of scholarly publication, and success in obtaining or promise of obtaining external research funding.
