Faculty Openings

The Department of Medical Oncology and the Kimmel Cancer Center at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania are actively recruiting new faculty members at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and/or Professor levels. These positions are for those pursuing research careers in cancer epidemiology, molecular epidemiology, behavioral science, behavioral medicine, and health services research. Applications are sought from independent investigators who are dedicated to improving the quality of cancer care for all populations
through research in cancer risk assessment, early detection, survivorship, informed decision-making, and health disparities.

Opportunities. New faculty members will have the opportunity to join the Division of Population Science, Department of Medical Oncology, Jefferson Medical College, and the Kimmel Cancer Center at Thomas Jefferson University. Salary and benefits for the positions are highly competitive. Research infrastructure support is provided. The Division of Population Science and the Kimmel Cancer Center promote interactions among basic, clinical, and population scientists in the conduct of cancer prevention and control research. Multidisciplinary and multi-institutional team science is encouraged. Successful candidates will be able to teach and mentor medical students, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate students in public health and allied health professions at Thomas Jefferson University, as appropriate.

Qualifications. A doctoral degree (MD or PhD or equivalent). Experience in conducting collaborative research. Strong peer-reviewed publication record. Demonstrated success in obtaining independent research funding, particularly for Associate Professor or Professor rank. Letter of Interest.
