Description
Weill Cornell Medical College (WCMC) in Qatar seeks experienced and well-qualified candidates for a public health faculty position for teaching biostatistics, epidemiology and evidence based medicine in its overall public health curriculum spread over four years. Courses in public health are taught by faculty specifically recruited for this purpose and who have received a faculty appointment from the Department of Public Health at WCMC- New York.
Candidates should be fully qualified to participate in ongoing research projects as well in developing new research agenda in Qatar that includes several public health components. Additionally, the candidates should be willing to contribute in developing and or teaching other graduate level courses in health quantitative sciences and related disciplines. The successful candidate will work under the overall supervision of the Dean of WCMC-Q and the Chairman of Public Health at WCMC in New York, and will be located in Doha, Qatar on a full time basis.
All WCMC- Q faculty members are appointed by the academic departments at WCMC- New York. The faculty based in Doha will be expected to teach their speciality and contribute to the academic life of Weill Cornell. This unique program provides the successful applicant with the opportunity to leave his/her mark on a pioneering venture. A new state of the art research program focuses on diseases of importance to Qatar. Teaching and research facilities are situated within a new building located in Education City in Doha among other branches of American Universities.
