TENURE TRACK ASSISTANT PROFESSOR IN HEALTH MANAGEMENT

The School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA) at Indiana University Kokomo is seeking applicants for a tenure track Assistant Professor in Health Care Management. The successful candidate will contribute to the growth and development of the school and meet the following:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:
* Earned doctorate in Health Management, Public Health, or related field.
* Ability to teach courses in healthcare management, managerial epidemiology, public management, health policy analysis, health service delivery, hospital administration, and related areas.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:
* Have a proven record of management in a healthcare field.
* Experience in the use of technology in teaching and online delivery.
* Have a record of successful teaching at the university level, advising, and demonstrate the potential to conduct research leading to publication.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
* Teaching a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses in the health care management, and public management program.
* Engage in research and scholarly activity leading to presentations and publications in refereed journals.
* Advisement of students and service to the university.

THE POSITION is an academic year, tenure-track appointment that reports to the Dean of the School of Public and Environmental Affairs. The position will begin on August 1, 2009. Salary will be commensurate with experience and competitive with comparable programs.
