Coastal Carolina University, Program in Health Promotion in the School of Health, Kinesiology, and Sport Studies, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor position beginning in August 2009.
The Bachelor of Science degree in Health Promotion has been the fastest growing programs on the Coastal Carolina University campus and the institution plans further growth and development in the health sciences.
Responsibilities will include teaching content and process undergraduate courses in areas such as philosophy and principles of health promotion/education, community health, international health, epidemiology, evaluation of health programs, or other assigned support courses. Courses may be delivered in a traditional format or via interactive, and distance learning. Opportunities will also be available for teaching graduate courses in various content areas of public/community health. The position requires advisement of undergraduate/graduate students, mentoring of student research, establishment of outstanding scholarship and professional service/outreach, collaboration with related academic programs, assisting in curriculum development, and supporting SABPAC undergraduate program approval efforts.
