Description
We are seeking a nutrition epidemiologist with experience in international nutrition with emphasis on capacity building for assessment and improvement of nutritional status. Position responsibilities include participating in the development of study designs, execution of study protocols, and, as needed, the statistical analysis of epidemiologic and survey research. In addition, this individual will participate in grant and proposal writing and the preparation of manuscripts and presentations.


Requirements
The successful candidate must possess strong oral and written communication and analytic skills. A Ph.D. is preferred; a master’s degree in nutrition or public health with 10+ years of related experience is required.

Description
Westat has an opening for an individual with research experience in epidemiology, with a focus on clinical and social research design and methodologies. This position will support scientific activities and methods studies as part of the National Children's Study Coordinating Center team.


Requirements
Responsibilities include literature reviews and assisting in both identifying qualified candidates to participate in expert panels and in conducting these panels. Qualified applicants should have a recent Ph.D. in a scientific field such as epidemiology, social science with an emphasis on research methods, or biostatistics. Successful candidates must have experience with longitudinal research. Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, the ability to balance multiple tasks, and to work collaboratively with a team are essential. Experience with study design and methodology preferred.
