The Department of Biostatistics and Informatics in the Colorado School of Public Health has an opening for a permanent fulltime Assistant Professor faculty member. The position may be tenure-eligible depending on the qualifications and interests of the candidate. The position will require original research in biostatistical methodology and collaborative research with biomedical investigators. If tenure-eligible, teaching in the Biostatistics graduate program is also required.
This position will be part of the Colorado Biostatistics Consortium (CBC), which is an organized center for research collaborations with biomedical investigators within the Department of Biostatistics and Informatics. The CBC also provides the biostatistical leadership for the newly awarded Colorado Clinical Translational Sciences Institute (CCTSI). We are involved in collaborative studies in Type I and Type II diabetes; cancer epidemiology, prevention and treatment; aging, infectious disease epidemiology and prevention; cystic fibrosis, schizophrenia and human nutrition. Additional collaborative opportunities exist within the university as well as with our many affiliated institutions.
The Colorado School of Public Health (CSPH) is the only school of public health in the 9-state region of the Rocky Mountain west. It is comprised of Colorado's premier public institutions: the University of Colorado Denver, Colorado State University, and the University of Northern Colorado. CSPH faculty and students span multiple campuses and disciplines, making the school a true collaboration of programs, people and places. This unique partnership is committed to building an inclusive, culturally competent student body, faculty, staff and school leadership.

In addition, the successful candidate will participate in the general consulting program within the CBC. If tenure-eligible, then full participation in the Biostatistics graduate program (teaching and mentorship) is also expected.
Minimum Qualifications: This position requires a PhD/ScD in Biostatistics with some collaborative experience. The person in this position must have excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to work independently with biomedical investigators.
