University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey
The Cancer Institute of New Jersey (CINJ), part of the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ)-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, with strong academic and scientific affiliations with Rutgers University, the UMDNJ-School of Public Health, and the Institute for Advanced Study, in Princeton, is significantly expanding programmatic efforts in Population Science, including Cancer Epidemiology, Prevention, and Control. Several new faculty positions with generous start up funds are available immediately.
The CINJ is a recipient of a major grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to expand programmatic efforts in all aspects of population science, including bioinformatics. Population Science, along with outstanding Basic Science and Clinical Science, comprises one of the three operating Divisions of CINJ. The five-county region of Central New Jersey that makes up the major patient base for the CINJ has a population of over 4 million people with significant ethnic diversity. In addition, New Jersey SEER Registry is being integrated into the CINJ. We are seeking independent investigators and collaborators with an established research portfolio including, but not limited to, the areas of behavioral, survivorship, health disparities, molecular epidemiology, environmental epidemiology, and chemoprevention.
Candidates must have a PhD, MD. MD/PhD or related degree. Desirable candidates will have a nationally recognized population science research program and strong interest in collaborative and interdisciplinary research efforts. Academic appointment will be in the UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School with the opportunity for a joint appointment in the UMDNJSchool of Public Health and/or Rutgers University. Rank will be commensurate with experience. Excellent benefits package, including pension plan.
