The Department of Epidemiology in the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Gillings School of Global Public Health is recruiting new faculty (open rank) for its pharmacoepidemiology program. Appointed faculty will teach and mentor graduate students, contribute to the development of the UNC-GlaxoSmithKline Center for Excellence in Pharmacoepidemiology and Public Health, and develop a funded research program that engages collaborators from the Department of Epidemiology, within, and outside of UNC. Our interests in pharmacoepidemiology include but extend well beyond developing and applying methods to increase the validity of non-experimental research of intended and unintended drug effects and surmounting key challenges in disease definition, descriptive epidemiology, natural history of disease, and health services research.
