DESCRIPTION:
The Infectious Diseases (ID) Division at the Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) invites applications from a board-certified or eligible ID physician, to serve as hospital epidemiologist at the Portland VA Medical Center, to participate in our clinical and educational activities, and to develop a program in laboratory, epidemiologic or clinical research.

The ID Division has active research programs in medical mycology, clinical and molecular virology, transplant ID, and the epidemiology of food-borne, mycobacterial and nosocomial infections. There are additional ID-related research programs in several basic science and clinical departments, the Vaccine and Gene Therapy Institute, the Oregon National Primate Research Center, and the Portland VA Medical Center.

OHSU has recently established a Transplant ID Service and an ID Clinical Research Center. A new Clinical and Translation Science Award (CTSA) from NIH will greatly expand patient-oriented research opportunities at OHSU.
