U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA): Epidemiologists

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is seeking to fill critical Epidemiologist positions. The FDA needs experienced Epidemiologists to assist in the study of protocol including hypothesis generation, methodological design and implementation, and statistical and epidemiological analysis as well as to participate in pilot studies and evaluations of preliminary or sample data to determine the usefulness of these data to the FDA’s mission.

The requirements for the Epidemiologist vacancy are as follows:

Requirements:

• Major study in an academic field related to the health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position.

• Qualifying Education gained at colleges and universities in foreign countries must be evaluated in terms of its equivalency to that acquired in America colleges and universities. Applicants educated in whole and in part in foreign countries must submit sufficient evidence, including transcripts, to an accredited private organization for an equivalency evaluation. A letter containing the results MUST accompany the application package.

• Most positions require U.S. Citizenship. There are limited opportunities available to individuals with Permanent U.S. Residency status or H-1B or O visas. Non-U.S. Citizens with qualifying residency status or visas should send resumes and work status directly to Genea Hernandez at the email address shown below. The Epidemiologist GS levels are: 11-13.

• Candidates must also have 1-year of specialized experience in an appropriate field comparable in difficulty and responsibility equivalent to at least a GS-9-12 level; or three years (3) of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in an appropriate field.
