The Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy, a graduate school at Tufts University (Boston, Massachusetts) seeks a faculty member to join the Nutritional Epidemiology (NEPI) Program.

The NEPI program is designed to train M.S. and Ph.D. students in the design, implementation, and analysis of epidemiologic studies that address questions of dietary intake and nutritional status. Affiliated faculty, selected for their leadership in the fields of both nutrition and epidemiology, impart the highest standard of excellence in education through both teaching and research experiences. The interactive relationship with other programs within the school, the Tufts University School of Medicine, the New England Medical Center, and the Jean Mayer USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging, provides a rich environment for collaborative and cross-discipline instruction. The Friedman School is seeking an individual with appropriate experience in research, teaching, and student mentoring. Priority will be given to individuals with a strong background in nutrition and cancer epidemiology. This is a full-time, 12-month position to begin as soon as the successful candidate is available. Rank will be based on experience in teaching and research. Initial appointment term is 3-5 years, depending on rank. Salary and benefits are competitive and will be commensurate with the successful candidate's experience. This is a tenure track position.

Qualifications Sought:
•Doctoral degree in an appropriate field
•A strong record of independent research and publications
•Successful grant proposal writing experience
•University teaching experience, ideally at graduate level

Responsibilities:
•Teach two graduate level courses annually, covering a broad range of topics within the NEPI Program as required by the school
•Advise graduate students, including directing independent studies
•Supervise doctoral dissertations as appropriate
•Develop and secure funding for NEPI-relevant research
•Serve on school committees and engage in collegial cross-university activities
