Opportunity Overview


It's an exciting time to join SBRI! An opportunity is now available for an entry-level Biostatistician to work in SBRI's malaria research program. The incumbent will join the lab of Dr. Patrick Duffy, and work closely with the team's senior Biostatistician.

The position involves the evaluation and monitoring of research activities, including cohort studies and interventional clinical trials. The work will be done in collaboration with other clinical, laboratory, database managers, and epidemiologic researchers as a part of a multidisciplinary team involved with the design, conduct and analysis of cohort studies of pregnant women and children exposed to malaria.

Key Responsibilities

* Create, organize and maintain SAS data files for statistical analysis
* Statistical analysis of longitudinal and clinical trial data utilizing SAS
* Aid in preparation of table and reports
* Provide input into the design and monitoring of project studies
* Perform sample size calculations and write statistical analysis sections for grant proposals
* Partner with Senior Statistician on an as needed basis to prepare DSMB reports for ongoing clinical trials
* Work closely with database management staff in monitoring data quality

* Proficiency in SAS programming language Strong oral and written communication skills
