Tenure-Track Associate Professor (Nutrition) – Global and Community Health
The Department of Global and Community Health invites applications for a tenure-track position in nutrition at the level of Associate Professor to begin August, 2009. Successful candidates will bring an active research program which contributes to significant new developments in the discipline and whose interests complement the strengths and priorities of the Department of Global and Community Health including chronic disease and disability, global health, epidemiology, and community health.

Teaching duties require teaching two nutrition courses per semester and assisting in the development of nutrition degree program and a new Department of Nutrition targeted for fall 2012. Priorities include those who can teach courses in food science, advanced nutrition, clinical nutrition, and nutrition and chronic illnesses.

Required: a doctorate in nutrition or closely related discipline. A registered dietitian (RD) credential and membership to the American Dietetic Association is preferred. A focused research agenda and potential for developing a high quality competitive program of research is required. Salary and tenure status are dependent on prior experience (including post-doctoral experience) and maturation of the candidate's program of research.
