Xavier University School of Medicine, http://www.xusom.com, is an Accredited Medical School looking to hire additional faculty members for the upcoming semester. Xavier University School of Medicine, XUSOM, is located on the beautiful island of Aruba. Aruba is part of the affectionately termed "ABC" islands in the Dutch Caribbean and is an English speaking campus and environment dedicated to helping students from the US and Canada study to practice in the USA.

Xavier University School of Medicine was founded to train students in the art of medicine via a U.S. Based Curriculum. The entire focus of our program is to ensure students receive the knowledge they need to successfully enter U.S. residencies, as competent physicians. At Xavier we are a very diverse institution, though our largest student base is from the US and Canada. Unlike many schools in the Caribbean, we pride ourselves on our ability to provide exceptional quality of education in a private school atmosphere. An ability to interact with individual students is a must have characteristic of Xavier professors. The Basic Science curriculum is entirely USMLE-Based. While in the U.S. students are required to attend a USMLE board review with a program we have instituted with KAPLAN to ensure a solid understanding. Our USMLE -Based curriculum, combined with our strong U.S. clinical programs, ensures that all our students are prepared to succeed in their USMLE exams.

We are currently looking for "Basic Medical Sciences" Professors, most immediate positions requiring MD or Ph.D. degree and prior teaching experience in a medical school setting. Salary is based as well on both medical experience and medical school teaching experience.
