The vaccine division of Sanofi Aventis, Sanofi Pasteur is the largest company in the world devoted entirely to human vaccines. The company offers the broadest range of vaccines in the industry, providing protection against 20 bacterial and viral diseases. 

 

The Global Epidemiology team is based at Sanofi Pasteur’s global HQ in Lyon, France and provides epidemiological expertise and design, conduct, analysis and publication of scientific investigations to support Sanofi Pasteur’s vaccine research, development and commercial strategy worldwide. 

 

You will deploy your vision and understanding of the public health environment to help Sanofi Pasteur develop, register and sell effective vaccines, formulating and executing strategy to develop the epidemiology function globally. 

 

You will work closely with colleagues across global R&D and Commercial Operations to develop and coordinate Global Epidemiology and product development strategies, providing thought leadership to colleagues to solve complex scientific/technical problems within Epidemiology; and providing internal training and mentoring as appropriate. As the company’s expert on epidemiology, you will be an ambassador for the function both internally and externally, across the scientific and public health community. 

 

This is senior and high profile appointment within the global management team.  Candidates will need to demonstrate depth and breadth of knowledge in epidemiology and an excellent understanding of how epidemiology can support and sustain the vaccine life cycle and provide important evidence to support licensing decisions.   This experience may have been gained in the pharmaceutical industry in academia or public health.
