- Serves as an Epidemiologist leading a team of employees
responsible for providing scientific leadership in strategic public
health efforts to prevent and control obesity, chronic disease, and
other health conditions through regular physical activity and/or
good nutrition.
- This position is located in the National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, Division of Nutrition and Physical Activity and Obesity Prevention, Nutrition Branch and Obesity Prevention and Control Branch, Atlanta, GA.

Major Duties:
Serves as a national or internationally recognized consultant and
expert on epidemiological issues on critical problems in the field
of nutrition, physical activity, and/or obesity prevention.
Designs, oversees, conducts and/or participate in nutrition,
physical activity, and/or obesity epidemiological studies, surveys,
evaluations or investigations. Develops and coordinates the sharing
of program educational or informational materials so that scientific
advice and assistance is shared.
Qualifications:
Basic Requirements: A degree with a major study in an academic field
related to the health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the
work of the position.
Since this position has a specific education
requirement, you must submit a copy of your

Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent
to the next lower grade level in federal service.
Specialized experience is experience which is typically in or
related to this position and has equipped you with the knowledge,
skill, and abilities to successfully perform the duties assigned, to
include experience in epidemiological studies, surveys and
evaluations in nutrition, physical activity, and/or obesity
prevention.
