The Department of Epidemiology and Community Health (http://www.epidemiology.vcu.edu ) at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) is a vital and growing research and teaching department in the emerging school of public health. There is active collaboration with many faculty members in other departments and centers of the School of Medicine and VCU.

We value experience teaching and mentoring at the graduate level. The successful candidate will have strong quantitative and methodologic expertise. Applicants must possess excellent oral and written communication skills. The successful candidates will play a central role in the developing School of Public Health and the Department's program of teaching and research. Faculty members will be essential members of a team developing creative, innovative approaches to public health education and collaborative research. The successful candidate will be expected to develop/sustain an independent, funded research program.
